Identity workflows in this industry

  • Visitor credentials
  • Contractor onboarding
  • Controlled facilities
  • Temporary access

Put identity before the access event

Access-control systems are designed to manage permissions, doors and credentials, but many workflows begin with a person presenting an identity document. That moment may happen at a guard desk, reception area, contractor office or self-service station.

Acupixel can capture identity data from supported documents and return it to the physical-security application. The platform can then associate the information with a visitor pass, temporary credential, contractor record or other access request.

Embedding the capture step inside the access workflow helps operators avoid switching between systems and gives the security application a consistent identity record to use with its own approval process.

Add document and screening signals when appropriate

Some facilities only need accurate identity capture, while others require additional document review or screening before access. The verification path should reflect the location, visitor type and organization’s policies.

Acupixel modules can add forensic document authentication and focused screening services to supported workflows. Results are returned as structured signals so the host application can present them to an operator or apply configured routing rules.

No single identity result grants access on its own. The access-control or physical-security system combines Acupixel outputs with appointments, host approvals, credential permissions and the customer’s security policy.

Support staffed and unattended entry points

Enterprise security environments often include a mix of staffed lobbies, remote sites, kiosks and pre-registration experiences. Each location may need a different capture device while still feeding the same visitor or contractor platform.

Scanner, camera and browser-based capture patterns can be incorporated according to the product and deployment. Software providers can start with the channels their customers use today and add additional verification steps as requirements evolve.

This provides access-control vendors with a flexible identity layer that can support corporate offices, distribution centers, campuses and other controlled environments without replacing the systems that manage physical access.
